Les Shelleys, Part 1 - "I'm On Fire"

Les Shelleys is the American duo consisting of Tom Brosseau and Angela Correa. They came through Zürich in November to play a show at Helsinki Klub and afterward, in the "green room" (actually a small trailer), they played a few charming covers songs. I captured these songs on video and here is the first, a delightful cover of I'm On Fire by Bruce Springsteen:

Pocket Cam: Tom Brosseau w/ Angela Correa live in Zürich

On Friday night Tom Brosseau played at the Helsinki Bar here in Zürich. He was accomapanied Angela Correa. In this edition of Pocket Cam they perform Tom's original song "Mary Anne".

Pocket Cam is a continuing feature that highlights video I have recorded with cheap, pocketable video cameras. This video was created with an iPhone 3GS.

Tom Brosseau is So Punk Rock

On Sunday I saw Tom Brosseau play at the Helsinki Klub in Zürich. It was quite a surprise to see the name of someone who played in the same San Diego coffee shops as I did appear in the Zürich 20 Minutes(the local free paper). It was a great show and discovering the Helsinki Klub was quite a revelation to me.

Someone once told me that the most punk rock thing that you can do in these modern days is to be not punk rock at all. If that is true, then Tom Brosseau is the most punk rock guy I have ever met.
